Valley Forge National Historical Park

Located at one of the most storied sites in American military history, Valley Forge National Historical Park commemorates a key turning point in the American Revolution. During the brutal winter of 1777-1778, the U.S. Continental Army was stationed at Valley Forge. In the midst of the suffering that took place there, the Army also retrained and rejuvenated, and ultimately came together and began to turn their fortunes around in the war.

Today the Valley Forge Historical National Park provides a unique look into that era of American history. When visiting, you can see restored historic structures, reconstructed structures such as the iconic log huts, and monuments erected by the home states of the Continental soldiers. One of the most popular attractions is the restored colonial home used by General George Washington as his headquarters during the encampment. There are numerous other programs, tours, and activities offered by the park year round.
