Audrey was very helpful with the travel arrangements and a knowledgeable guide. The trip is excellent especially if you are short of time because you can see 3 important sites in one day as well as have a delicious lunch. Having time to walk a section of the wall is wonderful.

We had a wonderful day. We enjoyed our tour immensely! William, our guide, was very informative and affable! Still waiting for the pictures that he took of the 6 of us.????

Everything as expected. Jimmy our guide was great. Communication the day before could have been better. Love the fact there is no high pressure selling.

Rico was our tour guide for the day and he was absolutely amazing! He was able to answer our questions and provided great background on the history and stories of the places we visited. This was a last-minute booking for me, an unexpected trip to China and I was anxious to see a few of the sites. I was alone for this trip and never before in China, so a little unsure about what to expect.

We had 6 English-speaking guests on the tour and Rico immediately made us feel comfortable and welcome. We started with Tienanmen Square and the Forbidden City, learning about China's incredible history. Beijing is a large international city and I was pleasantly surprised to find it so clean and friendly. Lunch was family style, and everything was delicious. Then we headed to the Great Wall - I wasn't quite prepared for the magnitude or the gravity or the beauty of this place! The Great Wall is at the top of the hill, and there are 3 options to reach it: hike up, take the cable car, or take the chairlift. The cable car and chairlift go to different points on the Wall, and our group elected the chairlift route and to stay together. Rico rode with me and kept me sane - did I mention I have a crazy fear of heights? It wasn't too bad, about 3 minutes and the chairlift was large and comfortable. We hiked through a few towers and along uneven and sometimes very steep steps. As an obvious side note, many steps did not have handrails so take your time and be careful. I had a few minutes to sit in one of the tower windows and just reflect. There are no words to describe the moment, I'm just so thankful I had this opportunity. The best surprise was the ride back down, if you take the chairlift up you can take the toboggan down. Incredibly unexpected and fun!

Lastly, we were there mid-November and it was freezing on top of the Wall, but we were virtually alone! I got several pics of just the Wall and countryside with no people. It was a little misty, so the Wall weaved in and out of the clouds but for me that was even more breathtaking. If you have time to plan ahead and intend to visit during winter months absolutely bring your heavy winter gear with hat and gloves, and sturdy shoes. I didn't and still managed OK thanks to a fellow traveler who loaned me her hand warmer, thanks! but I'd strongly recommend to dress accordingly.

If you're still not sure ... TAKE THIS TOUR! You won't regret it. What a great way to get a glimpse of China's history and beauty in a single day. On a personal note, I was traveling for work alone and as an older woman never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. Every meal I had on my trip was absolutely delicious and everyone I encountered was incredibly helpful and friendly. Rico took good care of us from hotel pick up to hotel drop off. Couple of tips I picked up: I would suggest to write down the Chinese address of your hotel if you are wandering the city outside of the tour, and download a translation app as I did. I used AT and T's Passport for cheap/easy text and data, and my iPhone map was a helpful navigator. Ladies, you'll see images on the stall doors to see if it's western style and yes, they had a couple of those even at the Great Wall.

Rico was absolutely wonderful and I would strongly recommend you try to get him as your tour guide if you have any opportunity to do so. He is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and very proud of his country and his heritage. He also knows a lot about what's going on in the rest of the world, so it was easy to talk with him about a wide range of topics. Thanks for taking such great care of us Rico! Hope to see you again.

Tina our guide was great! She looked after each of us in the group with water, rest stops, etc. and went out of her way to share her experiences as well as the information about the square, Forbidden City and Great wall. She was patient and answered all questions. She was funny, fun, and very thoughtful. A great introduction to the must see spots when you have limited sightseeing time in Beijing.

We were only in Beijing for one day and this tour was a great use of our time. Our tour guide Jimmy was great, spoke well English and had many interesting stories to tell about places we visited. Jimmy took care of everything for us and the group was great as well. I would recommend this tour to all my friends visiting Beijing.

We had a fabulous day! The tour of the Forbidden City and the Great Wall exceeded our expectations.
Our guide's name was Dream and that she was! Her English was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained.
Our only regret was that we did not have a second day to tour other sites in Beijjing with her as our guide!

We had a great time with our tour guide Dream, she was very knowledgeable and friendly! The Great Wall was so much fun to hike, make sure you wear comfortable shoes!!

Angela, our very enthusiastic and informative guide spoke excellent English and did everything to ensure our enjoyment of this trip. The Great Wall is even more impressive up close than in photographs - a must see attraction for every visitor to Beijing. Mutianyu has less visitors than other sections open to the public which is also an advantage. All in all a great day!

Great! Mutianyu is the best section of The Wall to go to according to the locals I talked to. It was spectacular. Our guide Sarah was nice, informative, and had a great attitude. Small group too. Just a perfect day.

This was an excellent tour lead by Jane. It covered Tian Amen Square, Forbidden City in the morning and culminated in a two hour hike on the Great Wall in the afternoon. Jane did a wonderful job, and I highly recommend this tour with her.

Our guide Zhang was the best! She knew everything about the monuments and was always in a great spirit! Forbidden City is impressive, beautiful and big! Be prepared to walk a lot and is really packed of people...The Great Wall is AMAZING...and the most fun is to go down by tobogã.

The only thing that could be better was the van...not comfortable at all! The rest was very nice!!

Hey hey hey fellow travellers , freezing cold in Beijing but worth the trip to the Forbidden City , Imperial Garden,
Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall. Our guide Eva, was on time to pick us up from our hotel, spoke English, courteous and patient which is important when you have 2 teen age daughters that frequently took an incredible long time at souvenir stores.

Eva's knowledge on China was good. I asked a lot of questions about the today life in Hutong , Beijing and she answered then without hesitations.

The only thing that I would change about the trip is communication to clients regarding time of pick up prior to the tour. We were flying in from New Zealand and nothing was communicated to us regarding our guide or what time our pick up time was until we got to our hotel when the reception desk told us just that. So being a first time user of Viator, Although we were given a confirmation number I was worried If we were being scammed .

Anyway it all ended well and we had a blast. I would recommend Eva as a tour guide and first time users of Viator in Beijing , information re pick up will be advised at the very last minute one way or another - so don't panic like I did for nothing.

I had Eva as a guide. Very nice knowledgable and helpful person. Trip was good. Due to the fact you do forbidden city and the wall on one day there is not much time for the forbidden city. But what I experienced was amazing. I can recommend everyone who has only one day to spend for sightseeing this tour. - Regards, Dennis

We had a great guided tour with Sunny, who took us to Tienanmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall. Sunny was very knowledgable and personable and she made it a great experience. Although I happily recommend Sunny and the tour, I would recommend splitting the tour into two days if possible. Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City can take an entire day and so can the Great Wall. It was a bit much to cram them together into one tour. But if you're up for a long day of touring, I recommend this excursion.

Our tour guide was so personable and informative. It was a very busy day with a lot of walking, but I would recommend this tour to anyone!

It ended up being just me on the tour which was nice. The car we were in was very comfortable, and I felt safe during the drive not like some taxi rides! My guide was Angela and she was very nice and knowledgeable. I enjoyed my time with her. The Forbidden City and the Wall were both amazing, although it was snowing in the mountains so the Wall was very slippery! Lots of photo opportunities though and cable car up and down was certainly appreciated. I never felt rushed, although the time did fly by. Angela also gave me advice about going to see some other sites on my own the next day. In the end I was very pleased with my tour, and with what I got to see in my limited time in Beijing.

I will say though that the tour is not what is described on here. No beer, soft drinks, maps or walking poles were offered. Lunch was at Subway, not at Alley Coffee. The time at the wall was not during Sunset, nor could it ever be according to the departure times.

Disappointments: I had to call the company at 7:30pm the night before the tour to confirm my pickup time as I hadn't heard from them at all. I'm not sure what would have happened if I hadn't called. Lunch also was strange as the guide was told by the agency to take me to Subway odd choice to me but wasn't given enough money to actually cover my lunch and her own. I had to kick in an additional 20rmb to cover the difference.
