The trip to the Estancia Ombu - Small-Group gaucho Day at a farm in San Antonio de Areco was fabulous. Our guide met us at our hotel and drove us to the Estancia giving us a constant informative commentary of the terrain we were covering to get to San Antonio. His English was very good and as we were the only tourists with him, we had a very personal experience. The gauchos and others at the Estancia Ombu couldn't have been nicer and the food was excellent and very plentiful. The most impressive activity that day was watching one of the gauchos perform doma-india with his horse. I won't explain it but it was an amazing spectacle and one I will never forget. I highly recommend this tour over others offered to the estancias. .

Great day. Pablo was excellent guide and extremely informative. The design of the tour was great, with short visit to silver museum, and once at ranch appetizers, horseback riding or carriage rides, then lunch, dancing and Horse-whispering. Recommend highly. Well worth the 2 hour drive in the air conditioned bus to get there.

This was a wonderful day trip away from the busy city of Buenos Aires. What we loved most about our trip were the people we met...our knowledgeable driver Jose Maria, our charismatic guide Eugenia, as well as everyone at the Estancia Ombu. We had an exceptional time visiting the local silversmith shops, trying some of the best alfajores, and learning about the pampas as well as gaucho culture. Our last stop at the Estancia Ombu was truly an amazing experience, with great food and a relaxing horse ride. If you have a day to spare, this tour is great way to relax and take in local culture.

the pick up was on time, the experience was really nice in a beautiful estancia with great meat and long easy horse ride around 45 minutes around the property.
Unfortunately, there was no time to relax in the swimming pool - the day was sunny and warm - or just simply hanging out at the estancia because our departure back to Buenos Aires was right after lunch.
Our guide was nice, friendly and spoke good English.
The trip was definitely pricey...
