Really excellent tour! I would have loved a bit more historical commentary, but otherwise, the trip was fabulous. Chris was very accommodating and knowledgeable. He runs a tight ship, but does it with a smile - we made it to all our destinations on time and even had time to stop off at a few great photo opportunities to stretch our legs now and then. I don't think we were ever confined to the coach for more than an hour. We saw beautiful locations, admission to all the attractions went without any hiccups. All we had to do was sit back and enjoy the experience. Would definitely do a tour with Highland Experience again!

It was a nice tour. Michael, our driver was cool.
The stops in Dunkeld, Hermitage, Newmore and culloden were good. We also got a couple of stops in between like the highlands border and Loch Ness for photos until we reach the absolutely amazing Fort Augustus, located at the bottom of Loch Ness. Be aware that the bus does not stop in Inverness, it just goes through it. I think they should make some time, at least 30 minutes to include a photo stop there.
Oaklands Bed and Breakfast in Fort Augustus was amazing. The hosts were a lovely elder couple.
The second day was really good. We went to Fort William to take the Jacobite train. Although it only reached Glenfinnan because the rail was closed due to some mud collapse, it was a nice ride. The viaduct is beautiful. Then we had lunch in Glencoe, an amazing valley.
HE was kind to take us to Doune Castle as a way to replace the time gap in the Jacobite train. It's a cool castle. Then we got two photo stops in Stirling Castle and Falkir before heading back to Edinburgh.

Great tour! Definitely brings you to places that and #39;s hard to get to unless you drive yourself! Guide was extremely friendly and helpful. The hogwart express was awesome - a must for Harry Potter fans!

Our guide John Paul was excellent and provided entertaining commentary on the sights and history of Scotland. The scenery was utterly gorgeous and of course the steam train ride capped it all off in a grand way!

We had a great trip. Michael was a superb group leader, stopping at many scenic spots for us to take photos. And, he is a great story teller! So, the history was interesting and the scenery was spectacular.

It was amazing. We had so much fun. We were expecting a full 2 day tour on the train but it was actually a bus tour for the 1st day and the Hogwarts train for the 2nd day. Our tour guide was funny, entertaining and knowledgeable. The B and B we stayed at was one of the best we had stayed in during our entire trip. I would definately recommend this tour.

This was the highlight of our time in the UK! Scotland is a beautiful country. The tour was made awesome by our tour guide, Mark! Complete with kilt, charm and humour. He was knowledgeable about the places and sights we saw. This happened to be our last tour of our stay and it was the best. So relaxing! We saw Loch Lomond, Loch Ness, Culloden (battlefield), a stay in Fort William (Stobahn B and B), topped off by the train ride! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to see Scotland!!

I totally recommend this tour to people from all ages and places in the world! Despite being a "Potterhead" (the tour took me to places I had always wished to go to experience Potter's films), I was able to learn loads of Scottish history while having a great time in those stunning landscapes! Simply PERFECT!!! I certainly exceeded all my expectations! Don't miss it!

Snowy mountains, spectacular lakes, a visit to the excellent visitor centre at Culloden, overnight at a cosy B and B, a knowledgable and amusing driver, and the highlight, the journey on the Jacobite train. This trip was everything I had hoped for. I highly recommend it.

This was a fabulous tour! I greatly enjoyed it. Our tour guide John Paul was very knowledgeable, funny, and stopped frequently to let us take lots of pics. I learned a lot about the Jacobites which gave greater meaning to the places we stopped at.

We saw a lot of places in a short amount of time but it's a trip I will never forget and is well worth taking.

We got to see A LOT of things in a short amount of time, which was really really nice! Our tour guide Collin was amazing and friendly and fun and gave us tons of fun facts along the way. It was a little bit rushed but that is the price you pay when you chose a tour that has a lot of things packed in 2 days! Overall, it was a great way to see the highlands and the B and B that was booked was amazing!

The Jacobite Experience with the Hogwarts Express train was a highlight of our trip to Edinburgh. This tour exceeded our expectations, with the majority of the success due to our driver/guide, Colin. He is by far one of the best we've ever met and will stay with us forever in our memories of Edinburgh.

I went on this tour with my daughters 14 and 11 and we all had the very best time. It was a small group in a mini bus with an excellent tour guide who made the whole trip even on the train so interesting. The scenery was stunning - we had informal stops for photos etc and the B and B was first class. I couldnt recommend this trip enough - 2 long days but well worth it.

One of the best tours we have ever done! Incredibly knowledgeable and personable guide. Great itinerary. Very nice mini-bus. Jam-packed from start to finish. Train ride was a blast.

What an amazing trip! Can highly recommend it to any age group. Our bed and breakfast accommodation was fantastic. We had amazing views of the Loch from our front door and a wonderful and plentiful breakfast to set us up for the day. The steam train ride was certainly a highlight, but our tour guide Colin was just as entertaining! Thank you Viator and Colin for some fond memories of the Highlands.

A great tour with a wonderful tour guide (Michael). Wish we had more time in Pitlochry and Fort Augustus. Really glad we got to spend the night in the picturesque village of Fort Augustus. Loved the guest house. Michael made a special stop for us to see and feed the highland cows- what a treat!

It was fun to get out of the city and see the country side of Scotland. It was so green and peaceful. The guide Steven was very friendly and he was constantly telling us about the histlry of Scotland. At each stop he gave us a good background about the area. He took us to a place that is similar to stone Henge. It was nice to walk around the structures and take pictures. We were the onlly ones there at the time. Steven took us the to the location where the book Peter Pan was written. We saw the building that the story was written. The Jacobite train ride was fun. We took pictures, visited with otheres and enjoyed the screenry. It was well worth the money to get out into the country and learn about Scotland.

Jean-Paul was awesome, very knowledgeable and funny. The "bus" was hugely uncomfortable though, they cram you into a sardine can.
The Jacobite train was AWESOME!
