Ein wunderbarer Tag bei den Highland Games in Stirling. Toll das man fast 4 Stunden völlig unabhängig bei den Spielen verbringen kann.

Excellent guide who gave us very good information and interesting. Loved seeing the Highland Games in Scotland as my family had attended the Highland Games in Los Angeles for 30 years. A Must for visiting Scotland to walk around with the locals and enjoy the Games tradition.

I think this is a unique experience and it an attraction to go when you're in Scotland. Also, me and my wife were lucky to have a nice weather (mostly sunny with a shower passing by) and very friendly people. We really enjoyed our time in Edinburgh and I wish we had more time for other attractions and to travel to other areas in Scotland - more to North or West... I mean.. more to the Highlands.
BTW... the Military Tattoo was GREAT!

Loved it!! But we left too early from Alva (event was moved because of rain), so we got there before the Highland games started, and didn't get to see the tossing of the caber...The trip should have started later and ended later. Liked that we also stopped at the monument for Robert the Bruce and the one for William Wallace. Informativ and fun guide.

Really enjoyed the Highland Games, it was cool to see all the events. Also I liked the stop we made at Stirling Castle on the way back to see it. There was plenty of free time on our own to enjoy events, explore Loch Lomond, try a local village restaurant, etc on the tour, which was great.

A really delightful day at the Highland Games! The driver played some great Scottish music to get us in the mood and shared some history on Edinburgh and Scotland. It was nice to not have to drive ourselves or find our way to the games, everything was spelled out for us logistics wise, which was great. The Highland Games themselves were amazing, a must see for anyone traveling to Scotland! All the traditional events like caber tossing, were awesome to see in person and the local events, like children highland dancing, really gave us a taste of the local village community and life in Scotland. Overall a really lovely day.

It was quite rainy on this tour. Not tour operator's fault obviously, but wish there was a "Plan B" for heavy rain days.

Great tour! Had a lot of fun. Definitely want to mention our bus driver/tour guide GREG. He was absolutely FABULOUS!! He gave us so much great information and was funny and very personable--he made the ride to and from a real treat. My only suggestion would be to make it more clear that the tickets were not for the stands. I didn't realize that at first (my fault, I now realize). We had to keep shifting locations to try to see different events clearly and it was difficult to see over others (I'm short :-) ) It would probably be helpful to recommend to people to upgrade to the stands because visibility can be limited for some of the events otherwise. But overall, it was a great experience and I'd definitely go again--and I'd definitely request Greg to be the guide! Thanks much for a great day!

Stevie, our guide, was a great storyteller-- we thoroughly enjoyed him.

The games themselves were quite entertaining; we spent more time actually watching the games than I had expected. Fascinating to see the friendliness of the competitors toward each other; haven't seen that in the US except AFTER competitions. It mirrors the general friendliness of the Scottish people, I think!

Glamis Castle was beautiful, of course. The tour guide was exceptionally good-- she was expressive, unlike some very obviously disinterested guides we've experienced on other tours.

I think I would have really liked this had the weather cooperated a bit more. It rained so hard all day long. Our guide did the best she could but it was really disappointing.

The Highland Games Tour filled the Sunday between attending the Edinburgh Military Tattoo on Saturday 15th and starting the 5 day Isle of Skye Tour on Monday 17th. Unfortunately we were only able to spend a couple of hours at the games and did not get to see as many of the highland sports as we would have liked. This however did not detract from the day and we had a very enjoyable and relaxing time.

Tour guide OK. Games were very disappointing. More like a local carnival with local kids competing in some races, etc. Enjoyed the local bag pipes. We were told that the games in August are more professional with more traditional types of competition that we had expected. I would not recommend this tour.

It was more like going to a county fair similar to what we experience at home - nothing new.
However people were lovely and the Viator staff very good.

This is simply a bus ride to the games. While this is what I wanted I did expect more for the price. When asking questions about the history of the games the guide was able to provide little additional information. I would recommend you find your own way to the games and save money.
