The guests will then stop outside Begum Samru's Mansion and listen to the amazing stories of a Nautch (dancing) girl becoming the ruler of a small principality in 18th Century India. Then the guests can either walk or have fun cycle rickshaw ride to Dariba Kalan, the lane famous for silver favorite jewelry. Then the guests will experience one of the most colorful streets in all of Delhi, Kinari Bazar, which can never fail to mesmerize any shopping enthusiast. The street is known for its beautiful laces and wedding shopping. The street also boasts being the raw market for all the well-known Indian designers.
Amid this hustle bustle lies a quiet lane called Naughara, which is lined up with beautiful havelis (mansions) of magnificent architecture. The highlight is the beautiful Jain temple at the end of the lane. Guests can take a bite of the all-time famous deep fried stuffed breads locally known as Parathas at the Parathewalli Galli. The guide will then take them through Malliwara, the Street known for beautiful Indian ethnic wear. Ladies can also try wrapping themselves around a beautiful sari as well. Guests will now get to explore the Nai Sadak, literally meaning “New Street.” This lane is known for its stationery and bookshops. As guests come onto the main street of Chandni Chowk, they will see an imposing colonial building just in front. Listen to amazing stories of this palace transformed into a colonial building. Then we walk down the street to Fatehpuri Mosque and will visit the Asia's biggest spice market- Khari Baoli. It’s a unique experience for anyone to see huge quantities of spices being loaded, carried and unloaded simultaneously in the shops.
Then the guests will take a rickshaw ride down to the largest congregational mosque in India built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan himself, known for its architectural magnificence and grandeur: Jama Masjid. All throughout the tour, our guides will also assist you in tasting authentic Indian snacks and experience the lifestyle of people in Old Delhi.
