Ellen, our tour guide was terrific. Born and raised native of the area, she was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. The tour was more than we expected for the cost. A great value.

Great tour! Miss Ginnie is adorable and very knowledgeable. The van was very comfortable and cool. She told us about the history of New Orleans and we saw many beautiful buildings. It was a small group so we got to know each other. They were very fun and pleasant.Major bonus was that they pick you up at your hotel! Thank you Isabelle tours and Miss Ginnie!

The guide, an 81 year old native of New Orleans, was superb. The depth of his knowledge of the city, it's history, architecture, and people was wonderful. Any tour led by this guy will be good, I'm convinced. My only complaint is the van was a very uncomfortable ride. We were seated in the back row, and the washboard streets of New Orleans made for violent bouncing up and down. It may be better in rows further toward the front, so be sure to get in one of those seats if at all possible.

Great Tour. We toured on January 10, 2015; the weather was sunny, but a bit colder than usual--40-45 degrees. We were picked up and driven around town in a smaller, but comfortable bus. The driver spoke over a PA system while she drove us thru all the more interesting parts of the city. Several times she stopped so we could get a better look at something. We stopped and got out of the bus to tour a colonial mansion, and an old cemetery. Great tour for someone who has only one day to take in as much of the city as possible. We drove around much of the French quarter. It was good to see what it is like in the morning, as we ended up spending our late evening there too. Highly recommend this tour.

This is a great tour to discover the different parts of New Orleans and it's history. Our tour was changed to include some post Katrina sights which was a bonus and other parts were removed. The small group allowed us to ask questions and get a more intimate feel for the place which is hard to do on a large tour. Our driver/guide Muriel had a deep knowledge of everything NOLA. She has a great presentation style that we found downright charming and funny. The tour operatour was very organized dealing with changes to the tour schedule. Recommended!

This is a great little tour to start out your trip, especially if you haven't been to New Orleans before. Loved trying all the different foods and getting a feel for the French Quarter. Our guide, Lyndel, had some wonderful historical knowledge and was very organized - she expertly navigated the streets and got us in and out of the eateries like a pro. The people on our tour were a fun bunch, so that also added to the overall enjoyment. All of the places we ate were interesting and had delicious food. One of the recommended restaurants we ate at after the tour, Tableau, wasn't great, but our guide hadn't been there for a while.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. It gave us a full sense of understanding and enjoying New Orleans then and now. A full four hours in a van small enough to go where typical tour buses cannot go, with enough opportunity to stretch and an excellent tour of Longvue. Our guide was friendly and considerate, knowledgeable of history, geography, the economy and the art and culture of this unique city, though with an unfortunate tendency to refer to seminal events as "before Jesus Christ". We saw cemetaries, bayou, traces of Hurricane Katrina, the French Quarter, Lake Pontchartrain, Carrollton, Lafayette, antebellum mansions and many places of note.. How and why the city grew was well explained. We would recommend this tour and felt it delivered value.

INTERESTING AND COVERS SOME PARTS OF THE CITY THAT YOU ARE NOT LIKELY TO VISIT W/O THIS TOUR. ON THE WHOLE I WAS PLEASED, BUT NOT VERY MUCH WITH THE GUIDE. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE ATTUNED TO WHAT PEOPLE ON THE TOUR WANTED TO KNOW AND ALLOWED MORE TIME FOR QUESTIONS RATHER THAN TALKING CONSTANTLY HIMELF. THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN AN EXCELLENT TOUR WITH ANOTHER GUIDE.

Please reverse my comments. John was out guide to this tour.
Dillon was the guide to this tour and he was excellent! He had the luxury of some distance to tell stories between sights where in the city proper everything just follows quickly. We enjoyed both tours, but dillon's experience was excellent!

Although the title says Architectural Tour, there is nothing about this tour that is particularly architectural. It is just a Sightseeing tour of some houses around New Orleans. There is some discussion about the buildings, but the architecture of these houses is not mentioned. If you just want to see a bunch of cool houses in the city, this is for you. But if you want to know anything more significant than who has or is living there, then this is not for you.

This tour shouldn't be called an Architectural tour, it was more of a general city tour. Also, we were sitting in the back of the van and the driver couldn't hear our questions. We were also looking at a map we had been given and couldn't follow what was being said about the map. I called the local tour company and complained as well. They would like to rename the tour City Tour. I am glad they added in a part about the Katrina devastation.
