First time cheese tasting. Even though I'm not a big cheese fan, our tour guide Pierre who has a keen gift for describing cheeses did an excellent job of making this an enjoyable experience. Since this takes place in the cheese store, it is more oriented towards cheeses than wines. However, Pierre did a good job of incorporating the wine into the cheese. I swear, I tried the same cheese three times using different methods, and it tasted different every time! This tour is definitely worth the price.

This experience was all it promised and more. Pierre, who leads the event, is passionate and knowledgeable and that makes the tour and tasting worthwhile. We were gad to have a proper introduction not only to seven of the hundreds of French cheeses but also, how to approach the rest of them. We enjoyed the individual cheeses and the pairings. Highly recommended for foodies!

This was a FABULOUS thing to do while in Paris! I am so thankful for having gotten this tip. Mr. Pierre Brisson was so educational, so informative, so generous and so welcoming to our small group. He was generous with his time, with his knowledge, and with the tastings. I've been to Paris many times but this is the first time that I have participated in such an activity. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to anyone travelling to Paris. I also appreciate that we were a small group. It was really memorable and I learned a lot. Merci Pierre!

Pierre was a great host. Seeing inside the 1700s cellar and the modern cheese room was fantastic. Rows of different cheeses, just fascinating, hearing the stories of the cheese makers and then tasting their cheeses just made it all the more special. I'd recommend this to anyone who loves their cheese, their wine, or wants to experience a little of unique Paris.

Pierre was a fabulous host! Our group was 5, so only ones there which was nice. The science behind cheese making is remarkable and tasting the end result even better! Even the teenagers in our group had a great time..and when do they ever like anything..ha-ha. if time in Paris allows go on this tour!!

This was an amazing experience. Pierre's passion and knowledge is unmatched. He took the time to provide the historical context on not just the industry but that particular location as well. His attention to historical detail coupled with the location made me feel like I was a part of the team! The visit to the cellar, the detailed explanations of the various processes and cheeses, the impact of location down to the specificity around how to properly taste, made this tour was worth every penny and more!

By far our most favorite thing we did in Paris! The shop is quaint and charming. The gentleman is a expert in cheese and wine. So personable and made us feel right at home. We learned a lot and certainly are a lot of cheese. We even bought some cheese and wine to enjoy down on the river another day.

This was fantastic - we had a great time sampling all the cheeses and wine in this local cheesemonger's cellar. Pierre was extremely knowledgable in both the cheese and wine industries and in getting the best experience out of tastings. Highly recommended!!

This was the perfect "hands on" way to learn about and enjoy the cheese of Paris. The shop is a two generation family affair (Father and Daughter) and the large cellar level under the store which houses the maturation room (wall to wall cheeses) is where everything takes place. Pierre, who also has a winery background, has set up the homey space with all sorts of displays that bring his story of the history of cheese to life. He is warm, extremely knowledgeable and made both the art and science of cheese making come to life in the "presentation" portion of the session. The cheese tasting part was fabulous and set up just like a great wine tasting. It included generous helpings of six very different (and fabulous) cheeses, baguette, apples (for palate cleansing) and both a red and white wine. As both a wine and cheese expert, Pierre provided great insights on the art of pairing wine and cheese, in addition to his guidance on the cheese tasting itself. It was a great way to savor one of the best Paris foods in a relaxing atmosphere, and the time of day/area made it easy to fit this activity into a packed schedule of site seeing. It is very near the Picasso and Pompidou museums in the Marais district.

The guide was excellent. Passionate and informative. Very nice mix of cheeses. Skimpy with the wine pairings, which was odd in light of the cost. Very small cheese aging room lacked the ambiance that we were expecting.
