Just returned from a week long trip to Puerto Vallarta, my daughter and I took this class and it was the highlight of our trip! Enrique took us to the markets to gather our ingredients and spent time explaining them to us, then we went back to his home to cook the meal with his wife and Nancy their assistant. Enrique, Maria, and Nancy were so warm and welcoming and it was a very charming touch to do this in their home. The class size with small 6 persons and allowed for a lot of hands on experience. I am a seasoned cook, but learned so many new techniques. We made tortilla soup, mole, dessert tamales, and homemade tortilla's along with guacamole and salsa. Everything was excellent and Enrique gave us recipe books with everything we made and lots more. If I find myself in Puerto Vallarta again I will certainly book this class again.

Another fantastic tour. Henrique, our guide and chef, along with his wife and sister-in-law, made us feel very much at home. We had a great time shopping and making tamales. We would definitely do this again, selecting a different menu item to learn how to make.

Enrique and Eri are consummate hosts and I learned so much from the experience. So many chiles to choose from! Grapefruit seed solution disinfectant for the fish! Would do it again next time in PV, for sure.

Enrique taught us a ton about shopping and cooking chile rellanos, salsa, guacamole, and tortillas. He, his wife, and his sister-in-law made us feel like we were part of their family. We can't wait to go back to Puerto Vallarta and learn to cook more authentic food with them again!

If you want to restore your faith in humanity, you must do this. There were 7 random strangers in our group and we had Enrique as our chef. We started out at the market and learned about different things, spoke with locals. It was very hot, so dress accordingly. Then we made our way to his home and met his beautiful wife, sister in law and his niece. We had a great time, everyone participated in helping. At the end we all sat as family and ate. It was a wonderful time and felt like we walked away as friends.

Outstanding activity and great value. Enrique knows the local food and it's history very well. The market shopping for veggies and meat for the chicken mole was a lot of fun. Enrique welcomed us into his inviting and quite functional home in a quiet neighborhood of PV. We met and cooked alongside his lovely family. The cooking instruction was very educational and the food absolutely delicious. This 5 hour activity is great value and a must-do when in PV.

Wonderful experience! Though always hesitant about these sorts of activities given the touristy nature of the town, I took a chance anyways. My friend and I bought the tickets and were quickly confirmed by Enrique who gave clear directions on where to meet. Once there, Enrique was punctual to greet all of us. From the market experience and learning more about local ingredients as they relate to Mexican cuisine and beyond, to the actual cooking class itself, this was a great experience. The intimate setting allowed for a nice meal with strangers. And the food itself was delicious. The service was fantastic and I highly recommend this experience for those who want to get off the beaten path of highly visible touristy stuff.

This was worth all the time and . We had so much fun. We want to a local outdoor market to purchase all the ingredients for the menu. Chef Enrique explained what we were purchasing, giving us cultural history about the food and people. After the market he welcomed us into his home where his wife Honey was there to greet us with glasses of cold tamarindo water. He demonstrated and we had hands-on making 3 different types of tamales, 4 different types of salsas, tortillas, and a chocolate sauce from Cocoa beans. After all was prepared we ate and had tequila shots. A fun, fun day!

Very nice class. We enjoyed shopping, good information about food and how to choose it. The food was excellent, we all got to help with preparation and we each left with a nice note book of recipes.
