This was truly a highlight of our time in Rome. We had 2 guides, Francesco who is a hilarious, charming, and knowledgeable Roman native, and Stefano, a professional chef. Both added such value to the tour and brought us to only the best places for pork, cheese, pasta, street food, and gelato! I highly recommend this tour - you won't be disappointed.

Great tour with chef Stefano!
We tasted lots of different types of food on our stroll around central Rome.
Stefano was very knowledgeable and entertaining, we enjoyed his company and the opportunity to learn about Italian food and eat it as well!!. This tour is a must do!

Thoroughly recommend this tour. Tour guide Dennis was really good and very informative. I did the tour with my son and we were the only people that showed up. Food was good and venues were very interesting. Enjoyed walking round the cobbled streets with our guide.

This tour was awesome! Our guide, Valeria, was fantastic. In addition to treating us to awesome food and wine, she gave us lots of good tips on where to eat while in Rome. It also doubles as a nice walking tour around Rome.

Excellent! Francesco took us to some great places for terrific food. We were only a group of 6, so it was a perfect, intimate evening. Definitely try and do this at the beginning of your trip, so you'll be in the know on the best neighborhoods for food.

I think this may have been my favorite tour of our trip which included 4 tours all together. We were immersed into the local culture and we ate luke kings. Francesco, our guide, was awesome!

Wow, what a tour. Francesco was the ultimate guide and catered to our every need. It was such fun walking through Rome, getting some history and eating and drinking lots of delicious food and wine. My favorite of all the tours during our stay. Thank you Francesco for such a wonderful evening!

A great tour, leant a lot about pizza and pasta, the latter in particular. The tour guide was friendly, personable and passionate about Italian food. Would do it again.

Francesco pushed through even when it turned out that it was only my wife and I who were on the tour. we had a great time and got a good dose of history along the way. would recommend

We did this tour the first evening we were together in town, a splendid way to begin our exploration of Rome. Francesco did a great job of orienting us to a number of small restaurants. First, leading us around a number of streets and piazzas in the vicinity of the Campo de' Fiori, he purchased some cheeses for our first dining stop. That was in the Antica Norcineria Viola, an astounding salami and pork shop where we had prosecco, the cheeses, and a great selection of different cuts of meats.
Then still near the Campo, the Ristorante der Pallaro offered a quick course of pasta cacio e pepe and also carbonara my wife and I returned to Pallaro two nights later with two friends despite some, mixed reviews I have read. Then, we strolled over to the piazza St Eustachio to have some pizza slices at the unpretentious and excellent Pizza Zaza. Then back toward the Campo, to a pastry shop, Nonna Vincenza, and finally to a gelateria for you guessed it, at Carapina. Obviously, with these references, anyone could to this trip on your own, but would need to have the while meal at Pallaro. My only real reservation was that Francesco, having just returned from vacation in southeast Asia, seemed a bit too disengaged, dialing in the tour a bit. There were only two couples on this tour, and one member of the other couple ate no meat, so I felt that his style seemed a bit cramped. Also we passed a family he had guided that morning, and clearly, it seemed he wished he was still with them! In any case, his tour around this are proved to give us a solid orientation to one of the most important parts of Rome and helped me be oriented for explorations for the next week. Probably worth 4 start here, if Francesco can give it his all -- but definitely worth doing. Price wise, a bit overpriced, frankly, but unforgettable.

Awful Read my husbands review on tri advisor. Stefano our guide was good. I think he can only do so much with a limited budget. All but the pasta course is standing up. Not even a park bench. They talk about cheeses, there was one Mozzerella. Stefano told us we would experience two, buy the store we went to get it was out of the other.

Did all three pastas have to be done at once
Couldn't we have gone to a couple place and tried a bit at each, with a small table

Find this quite weird as I have already submitted a review. Having paid a total of 127 for this tour was left severely disappointed. On arriving at the meeting point to find it was just my wife and I on the tour immediately felt a little uncomfortable. First stop was a bakery where we were given pizza bianco and ate it alongside a fountain as the market was being cleared up. The next stop in the same piazza was a norcineria which was the highlight of the tour being served with a variety of sausage to taste with a glass of wine. The owner was very happy to talk about his sausage making and meat curing and made us very welcome. We were then told we were on our way to a cheese tasting. After our guide couldn't at first the premises we arrived at a bruschetta take away where we were given buffalo mozzarella and tomato, a couple of slices of a cheese with truffle flakes and a few slices of bruschetta with 3 different toppings. next stop was for pasta which was also a take away. We were up and down the same street before our guide could find the premises. The script being followed apparently from his mobile phone not giving him the right instructions? After the pasta take away we were taken to a taxi rank for a vehicle back to our hotel. The only positive to take from this was the guide's historical knowledge. The whole tour seemed to be haphazard and conducted by someone who was filling in. We had booked this tour on a recommendation from a colleague backed up by reviews. On our experience we could not recommend this tour to anyone and feel as though we were duped.
