Itinerário:
Day 1: Seoul — Seorksan National Park
After pickup from your Seoul hotel, you’re driven downtown to board a bus on your own for the 3.5-hour drive to Hanwha Resort, located near Mt Seorak, one of Korea’s most famous mountains. From here, a local taxi delivers you to Seoraksan National Park, designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and home to more than 2,000 animal species and 1,400 rare plant species.

Choose your hiking course among a dozen possible routes available on Mt Seorak, depending on your ability. Follow well-maintained paths through the park, passing glistening streams flanked by towering granite walls. Keep an eye out for a variety of animals such as musk deer, and marvel at multicolored maple leaves in autumn or snowy peaks in spring.

Depending on which way you go, you may visit Shinheungsa Temple or admire its 33-foot-high (10-meter) bronze Buddha statue. If you’d like, take a ride on the Seorak Cable Car for a glimpse of Ulsanbawi Rock and the East Sea (depending on availability; own expense).

As this tour is self-guided, how much time you spend on the mountain is completely up to you — just inform your host of your requested pickup time. Food establishments are available in the park to purchase a meal or snacks (own expense) before checking in to your guesthouse.

Overnight: Guesthouse in Seoraksan National Park

Day 2: Seoraksan National ParkSokcho — Pyeongchang (B)
Enjoy a simple breakfast at your guesthouse before your host arranges a local taxi for a full day of sightseeing around Mt Seorak, including the popular coastal city of Sokcho.

Your self-guided itinerary begins with one hour at Sokcho Jungang Market, Sokcho’s traditional seafood market that draws many visitors. Stroll past dozens of stalls where fishmongers sell fish, crustaceans and other seafood.

Next, you’re driven to Daepohang Port, the site of numerous dried fish shops and raw fish restaurants. Enjoy views of the East Sea and the mountains as you scour the live fish market and stop at a restaurant to enjoy a fresh seafood lunch (own expense).

After about two hours here, transfer to the Daegwallyeong sheep farm, where you have 1.5 hours to explore. During your visit to this privately owned farm in Pyeongchang, stroll along the viewing walkway to observe some 200 wooly creatures grazing the field.

In the late afternoon, take a taxi to your resort for check-in and dinner (own expense).

Overnight: 3-star condominium at Yongpyong Ski Resort in Pyeongchang

Day 3: Pyeongchang — Seoul
After breakfast (own expense), you have a free day to spend at leisure at your resort before a shuttle bus returns you to downtown Seoul, where your tour concludes.
