Daniel was a great guide. We really enjoyed our trip to the coffee plantation and local market. We learned a lot and had a lot of fun. Daniel and Marie were very accommodating and gracious in making sure that we got the most out of our day. Highly recommended!
My wife and I had a great time visiting the Coloma coffee plantation. Our guide Juan Carlos met us at our hotel near Parque 93 and then we drove off to the countryside to visit the farm. We stopped on the way to get a cup of aguapanela with cheese from a local dairy absolute must try!.
Once we arrived at Coloma we went on a small guided tour during which we learned about the history and processes used to make coffee in the region. The tour ended with a tasting of the plantation's coffee.
A nice, easy day trip from Bogota. Alejandro, our guide, met us at our hotel in La Candeleria. He was knowledgeable about the region and the culture and prepared us for our our visit to the plantation. The plantation is a boutique operation and allows visitors insights into all aspects of growing, harvesting and processing coffee. On the return to Bogota we stopped and had a trafitional coffee region lunch. The only downside of the trip was Bogota traffic.
We had Juan as our driver and he was exceptional! Really told us about the area we were going to. One of the best things about the day. The tour itself was ok. The tour guide at the plantation stopped translating when he realized my Husband could speak Spanish.
