The boat ride from Positano to Capri was a wonderful way to see the beauty of the Amalfi Coast. We saw various formations and grottos along the way that were absolutely beautiful. Our guide provided background at each stop along the way explaining the various formations and sites we saw. We had a four hour stay in Capri providing more than enough time to eat, shop and experience the views from the top of the island.

Wonderful day on the boat. Our tour guide, Marco was spectacular! Full of knowledge and very pleasant. We took our time getting to all the grottos as to enjoy the beautiful scenery. He pulled the boat into each grotto and we were able to touch the rocks and get photos. He sang for us and played the accordion as well. Towards the end of our trip he stopped and anchored for us to take a nice leisurely swim. Our trip was finished with a champagne toast. Well worthwhile trip with our family.

We took this tour from the Marina at Praiano. Since several different tours leave from this spot we were pleased to see that people were available to direct us to the right boat. Francesco picked us up, proceeded to Positano to pick up more passangers, and then on to Capri. Since it was April the water was too cold to swim, but he did take us by all the sights advertised, although no one wanted to stop and pay the extra to see the Blue Grotto. The boat ride to Capri was lovely and Francesco was very engaging. Our first problem was that the boat drops you off at the furthest end of Marina Grande, making for a long arduous walk for one of our party, who used a walker, to get into the main area. The second problem is that Marina Grande is a second rate tourist trap graced only by nice views of the harbor. To get to the funicular to ride up to Capri you have to pass through a gauntlet of restaurant barkers trying to entice you into their restaurants and a lot of other hucksters selling watches, umbrellas, selfie sticks, etc. The crowds were also dense as hugh jet boats from Naples and wherever disgorged tourist by the hundreds, all crowding into the same small tourist shops. I can't imagine what it must be like in July and August. Once we had nice lunch at La Zagara, a quiet restaurant at the edge of Marina Grande, we proceeded to the ticket office, purchased funicular tickets and then rode it up to Capri where we found better quality shopping, lovely views and more crowds. The next problem was that once you eat lunch, see some shops, and walk around a bit it is time to return to the boat. If you want to see the less touristy sights on Capri take a bag lunch and head directly for where you want to go. Finally, Francesco's boat it's obviously not new broke down on our ride back and we were standed in the Sea for awhile, not knowing how we were going to get back to Praiano. Francesco did get the motor running again after some tinkering our hero and he did get us back, but the whole way the engine never sounded like it was going to make it. The boat's front prow is also low so the return trip involved quite of few wet splashes as it plowed through the waves. All in all I would recommend inexpensive ferry rides along the coast to see the coast from the water, skip Capri, and spend more time in Amalfi, Ravello, and Positano.

We specifically picked this trip because it was small group no more than 8 people. Our tour had 12 people including a lady with a stroller in a boat that would comfortably sit no more than 10. Other than that, the trip was great. Just not what was advertised.

This tour was amazing!

, all six of us that went on the trip were shocked. In fact, it is the only tour I have ever done with Viator that was horrible. The captain of the boat was unpleasant and offered little information during the trip over. We were supposed to go swimming and even though it became somewhat cold he never gave us the chance to go for a swim - which some of us would have wanted. He never smiled. We had to ask for the water that was supposed to be supplied and at the end of the trip he never offered the Proseco. One of the other passengers had to get it and pour it for everyone. Capri itself was a true disappointment. It was crowded and we spent most of our time there waiting for transportation for the Funicular or the buses. If you decide to go for the day, plan on spending the extra money for a cab. for the 6 of us it would have been 90 euros - which was ridiculous but would have save an hour of waiting. Unless you are there for a long day and you can go hiking in AnaCapri don't bother to go to Capri. Take aa boat across from wherever you are - bout only if the Bus Grotto is open. It wasn't the day we ent as well.
Overall it was aa complete waste of money and for the price we basically go a boat ride for 150.00 per person. So disappointed!!

Amazing day! Tour guide was an amazing boat driver. Less of an informative tour but extremely scenic. Definitely recommend planning ahead what to do on Capri as it is very busy there so not easy to get transportation to further destinations.

This private boat trip to Capri with our captain Francesco was very good. He is an excellent operator of the craft and maneuvered us into some areas that only a professional could do. He was very knowledgeable of the island and the other sites along the way and did some extras like a swim in a pseudo Blue Grotto ...the real one was crazy busy and not worth the 1 hour wait on our day. Capri is a beautiful island but way too busy...too many people. The 4 hours goes by very quickly with trying to navigate through the crowds and lining up for the bus lines. The island provides you with a very interesting bus ride to the top with very gorgeous views towards the mainland. We enjoyed a great restaurant and the browsing in the many shops...a great day! rated only as a 4 because of crowds

Beautiful boat and the tour was absolutely perfect. It was quick and easy to book. The gentleman who took us around the island was fantastic and we had a lovely swim stop off on the way to Capri. Loved it and would absolutely recommend to anyone! Thank you
