Was meant to be in English, but had another language as well, slowing things down considerably.
Timings not very punctual.
Guide knew his stuff and I learned a lot, but could've been better....

The tour was fine, however the guide fleeced us. Taking unassuming tourists to a place selling over priced food , and stuff. It’s really not done and literally left a bad taste. So anyone else planning to do this trip a word of advice carry your own food or pick what you want

Everything was great, extremely punctual.
The only negative thing is, that they dont give you free time to do souvenir-shopping. They show you only one overpriced store most likely because of commission.

A terrible experience from the start. Firstly, they claim they will pick you up at a central Jerusalem hotel. After you actually buy the tour, this is not necessarily the case. I stayed in one of the top hotels in central Jerusalem at one of the city's main avenues corner of Ben Yehuda St. and Meshilat Yesharim, but they wrote to me asking me to walk to another hotel, 10-15 minutes away in an area I didn't know, to get picked up. They claimed that this was because 'the transport wouldn't be able to access my street' total nonsense as Ben Yehuda is a major avenue, but it became clear on the day that they wanted me to walk to another hotel because everyone else on the bus was getting picked up in and around the other neighbourhood. This is a totally unacceptable practice.

During the tour itself, the guide marched us into a gift shop saying that it would be the only stop we would make during the tour and that it was a good idea to buy something to bless in the church. The prices they rolled out for our group were so overpriced that it was extortion I bought something for 240 and found the same item later that week for around 80 elsewhere in Jerusalem, and I would be happy to provide full details to the tourism authorities. The guide clearly had a relationship with the store.

This behaviour continued through the tour, for instance, as we were walking through the market, a vendor handed the tour guide a free bottle of water on condition that she stopped the tour and asked them if they wanted something to drink. He then sold drinks to the group at high prices.

At lunchtime, we were marched up some stairs into a restaurant where we were told we would eat lunch. No mention was given in advance and no choice was given to go out and look at nearby restaurants alone. Of course, the restaurant was extremely overpriced and the food provided was a horrible, stale buffet or else a small, basic schawarma or falafel pita.

At the end of the tour we were promised a return trip to the hotel. I told the driver where I was staying, he was surprised that the tour company asked him to pick me up at a totally different place in the morning, and he dropped me around where I was supposed to be. Proof that they had no reason to ask me to meet at another hotel other than laziness.

I will be formally complaining about this tour.

Jerusalem is a wonderful and historic place, and there are plenty of other tour operators willing to treat you with some decency.

It was great but too short, when it says 8 hours it means 8 hours including the time you are picked up at your hotel. Not 8 hours of site seeing.

The tour was good - the tour operator not so good. They offer a VIP upgraded tour package and it is a scam. They try to get you to pay a higher price for VIP service. Do not take the bait. EVERYONE on the tour is on the same bus. I took a few tours with this company. Some as standard and some as VIP. On the tours I paid extra for VIP, there was not a SINGLE other person who paid for VIP. I felt ripped off after emailing the company to complain.

As long as you know you are getting what you pay for in terms of a group tour and a Israel biased tour that is not historically correct and an intentional disregard for the treatment of the people that are occupied in this country, you are fine booking this tour.

This was my second Viator excursion. I think the sights we saw were amazing and the guide was courteous and informative. The reason I did not rate it higher was because of three things. 1 Once again, the pickup time from my location was over a half hour late, then I was transferred to another location just to wait another half hour before the excursion bus came. 2 Because the tour was so late in starting and because we had to wait on passengers that didn't come back to bus timely, there were sites promised that we didn't get to.
3 Because of the large number of people in the tour it was impossible to hear the tour guides explanation of things. either need to use headsets or have smaller groups
Lastly, we were taken into a gift shop and were to hang out in the gift shop for way too long - approximately 40 minutes. There were so many sites to see and didn't get to because of being stuck in a gift shop.
