Great Experience. Nice to see the outer area of Melbourne and the tea and Lamingtins where very nice. Guide was really good and the train was a great experience.

The trips were both excellent, and the drivers friendly and informative. Just felt that we were a bit rushed in places.

We did the half day Puffing Billy tour. We live in South Australia and we love coming to Melbourne every now and then. As much as we enjoyed the half day tour...for the cost.... almost 100 a head...we thought the morning tea was very poor. COLES lamingtons served up in the plastic they were wrapped in and a jatz biscuit...obviously aimed at the overseas visitor!

We were not on the Puffing Billy. We were on the lunch cable car. The food was excellent even though the dessert was disappointing which was assorted cheeses. The server was excellent especially his singing. I was totally disappointed in the route that the train took

What a great way to spend some time in the lovely Dandenong ranges, was a great experience and only problem was it wasnt long enough. We joined on the penguin parade and I am so glad we did, it was a long day/night but well worth it. What a wonderful time we had waiting to see these little fellows emerge from the water and head to their burrows, seen them on the beach but just as many when you were walking back to the centre along the pathways. Would recommend both tours!!

Would highly recommend this tour! Didn't get 5 stars because the Train ride on Puffing Billy could have been longer - only got to go to two stations. I would recommend the train trip be lengthened and terminate at Lakeside. They could have shortened the time for morning tea. Wish I could give it another half star.

My 84 year old mother loved the trip and brought back old memories of travelling on steam trains as a young girl.

Our guide was excellent, very informative and funny! Especially liked the way he asked everyone to be considerate of others when talking amongst each themselves so his commentary could be heard by all.

Top marks Viator and Greyline!

Friendly volunteers an excited group of people the scenery was spectacular and the adrenalin of the smokin billy and its weave around the hilltops was memorable for many years to come - great for all ages

Absolutely loved everything about this day tour. It was everything we had hoped to experience - especially on our 26th Wedding Anniversary. Penny from Gray Line tours looked after us while we were waiting to board and was such a lovely young lady. Then we were lucky enough to have the most amazing tour guide - Geoff. We had a very mixed tour of nationalities but his Aussie humour and friendly personality made everyone very comfortable. He was informative, a very good driver and happy to answer questions and chat. Having never been to Melbourne born and raised in Queensland we had a wonderful time. The drive into the Dandenong Ranges was beautiful, with so many small towns and interesting things to see. Although we could have used the time to take a walk we chose to stay and enjoy our billy tea and lamingtons which were great on a chilly morning. Sassafras was a real surprise! Unusual little shops which we spent way too much money in, surrounded by beautiful forestry. We would recommend both the Viator tour booking process which we have used in the past and hope that they continue with the excellent service - and their fantastic choice of Tour Operators. Thanks for a memorable anniversary!!!!! Rob and Lisa
