Viagem diurna à Ilha de Saona e aos Altos de Chavon

Uma farsa... Não tinha guia que falava português, 3 trocas de transfer, além de lotado tive que ir com minha esposa no banco do lado do motorista, a ida até a ilha é numa lancha minúscula e antiga apenas a volta é de catamarã, não tinha as bebidas anunciadas faltou cerveja e não tinha vinho, comida de péssima qualidade e almoço desconfortável.
A ilha é linda e recomento o local... porém não comprem esse oferecido aqui. Lá tudo é muito diferente do oferecido. Tive que me virar em outro idioma. Não recomendo!

O motorista e o guia são pessoas super atenciosas e animadas, Altos de Chavon é lindo e a Ilha de Saona dispensa comentários, o lugar é paradisiaco... e ainda paramos na piscina natural onde tem estrela do mar... repito foi EXCELENTE, valeu cada centavo pago!

Ein insgesamt gelungener Ausflug.

Der kleine Kulturtrip, bevor es aufs Boot geht, nach Altos de Chavon ist eine gelungene Abwechselung. Der Strand in Saona ist wirklich traumhaft, das Buffet-Essen ok. Bei der Rückfahrt auf dem Katamaran wird dann mit Musik und Tanz gefeiert. Es werden während der gesamten Fahrt regelmäßig Rum, Rum-Mix und auch alkoholfreie Getränke ausgeschenkt. Der Busshuttle zurück zum Hotel war dann auch dementsprechend ruhig, da sich die meisten vom anstrengenden Tag erholen mussten. -

Wir hatten leichter Abweichungen zur ursprünglichen Beschreibung des Trips. So sind wir mit einem Speedboot nach Saona Island gefahren und mit Katamaran zurück. Eigentlich sollten beide Fahrten mit Katamaran erfolgen, für die meisten Teilnehmer war die Fahrt mit dem Speedboot definitiv ein Mehrwert. Leider waren wir mit zwei kleinen Kinder 1 und 5 Jahre unterwegs, für sie war das natürlich eine pure Stresssituation und für uns dann dementsprechend auch. Ich vergebe trotzdem 4 Sterne, weil der gute Viator-Kundenservice eine mehr als akzeptable Lösung auf meine nachträgliche Beschwerde gefunden hat. Vielen Dank noch einmal dafür.

The tour was better organized than the trip to Catalina Island. Altos de Chavon was a waste of time. The only reason to go there was the view of the Chavon River. The speed boat ride caused bruising on my best friend's and my back. The natural pool and Saona were beautiful. The food was better than Catalina Island. The music on the catamaran ride back to La Romana was much too loud. My friend had to be given earplugs.

This trip was really amazing! Benjamin was our Daddy for one day and he really made us to feel like a family. Altos de Chavon is a unique and charming town and Saona Island is paradise on Earth. The people from Dominican Republis have big hearts and they know exactly how to share the beauty of their country with the others!

Our tour guide, Benjamin, was amazing and the whole experience was awesome! I highly recommend this trip!

this trip was great! Altos de Chavon is a must see,the buildings and grounds were amazing.I wish we would have had more time to look around .Our tour guide was great,and very informative.The speed boat ride to the island was not very comfortable seats,however it was only a short ride.The food and the beach were great,along with the service.The catamaran ride ROCKED! Good music,lots of partying and lots to drink! The water was calm so it was a great day.It is a long day,so you need to be prepared for that.Pick-up at the hotel was 7.00 a.m.,and we got back around 8.00 p.m.But all in all it was a great trip,i would recommend this trip for all agesi am 71 and had a fabulous time!!!!

Fun trip! Entertainment was great, the boat ride was fun, food was good. Speed boat made me nervous but the operators appeared confident.

We had a very good time. The island is truly beautiful. The people are very kind. Brush up on your Spanish. they do speak English, but you would do well to understand the basics and try to speak. When we booked our excursions, I didn't realize the amount of time that would be spent driving, and picking up others. This is a long full day. Overall, I feel it was worth it. My husband and I have traveled frequently, and generally do not purchase souvenirs, however I found myself wanting to give back to this community. They are hard working people. So tip heavy!
