Garantia de menor preçoA lot of fun! The buggies are safely put together and do pack a bit of a punch. The trail is mostly gravel and mud you will get splashed but this is part of the enjoyment make sure you wear clothes that you don't care much about. The cave at the end is very beautiful with some truly disturbing Flintstones characters. Overall very good.
I booked via Viator.
Experience: over 6 miles of driving on private dirt roads - not a vendor in sight, no kids running next to you trying to sell you anything unlike the other dune buggy excursions around. After being picked up in an open truck, got to the ranch, went through safety tips and rules, got our helmets, and a quick demo of how to drive automatic buggies. It was only 3 groups of us 3 buggies, but they had 1 leading buggy and 1 buggy trailing mechanic - although none of our buggies faced any issues. We drove FAST. Super bumpy and it rained a little the night before so there were some mud holes.
Our first stop was at a dominican house - we got to sample coffee, see the garden, home, chickens. Not a vendor spot - just a local home.
Second stop was at a natural cave - a little bit of hiking inside, but very cool to see. The cave leads to Bedrock City - the Flinestone's portion of the tour - a trip down memory lane for replica Flinestone's home and something for the kids.
Then we drove all the way back to the ranch. If you are looking for a private, safe, fun, adreneline pumping dune buggy experience, this is it. Highly recommend it. Our tour guide Ivan was awesome and funny.
Only downside was the pickup time was that its not stated clearly stated in your booking confirmation. Only advice is to make sure you have a clear understanding of what time you will be picked up from the hotel. I tried calling while in DR, but i think the quickest and best response was via email. Email them after you book for your pickup time.
But still a great experience and highy recommend it.
This was an awesome experience! My husband and I really enjoyed it! Driving and riding in the buggy was fun. We drove to a local house, where we were able see how many locals live day-to-day. We also went on a guided cave tour. I would highly recommend this buggy adventure! Make sure you bring your own glasses and bandana, otherwise you'll pay triple the price once you arrive. Expect to get dirty. I think we were extra dirty, because my husband was speeding over a water/dirt puddle.
I had an Awesome experience. Ivanhoe was an excellent guide. The whole experience was FUN. Driving the buggys..the mud holes..the caves..the stop for coffee...LOVED IT!!!! Well worth the time and money!!! My ONLY problem, which I cannot take a star from, because it did not have anything to do with the Buggys, there were FROGS in the bathroom!!! Scared me to death!!! Ivanhoe and his team were very friendly and made the experience FUN!!!! You will get dirty and muddy!!! Bring goggles and a scarf. If you do not want to get muddy, bring a raincoat. ENJOY!!!
Our guide who called himself "Muhammad Ali" went so far as to ask for tips before the tour was even over. He also told a gay couple that they looked like brothers, and said it looked like I had never worked a day in my life. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Look elsewhere for your buggy tour.
A really good time. The fact that it rained the day before actually made it more fun. They picked us up at our hotel on time, we drove to another hotel to pick up a group, and then we got an early start. The caves were really impressive, very cool stalactite/stalagmite formations. The Flintstones theme was a little cheesy but didn't take anything away from the experience.
