Our guide made the history come alive, and was accommodating and informative. We enjoyed seeing all the inside rooms, the various views, and hearing about times past. “Frederick” did an excellent job.

Great way to start seeing the city. A lot of history and cool stories. Wish we could’ve seen more behind closed door stuff .

This was one of the most disappointing tours I've ever been on. Everything is brought up to modern standard.with people walking around everywhere ...it is a beautiful building that unfortunelaty has been so renovated that we were only show pitchues of what it looked like in time past......what a shame......

Great tour guide, dressed in period clothing with an accent as well. We actually thought he might be a thespian because he was so good! Lots of good information and answers to everyone's questions.

You'll find the history and entertaining guide well worth your 20. On top of that you'll get to step into some spaces in the hotel that are usually off limits to the public. A drink in the bar is a nice why to cap off the tour.

Wonderful tour led by a costumed guide. Very informative about the history of Quebec and interaction with other countries during war times. The hotel is lovely - highly recommend

Included a lot of history of the Chateau, interesting stories. Met outside at au 1884 restaurant so you can grab a coffee ... explained the various construction aspects of the Chateau then thru the main archway and entrance. History of the entrance, down to the double stairwell, saw the restaurants, upstairs to the history wall next to the meeting rooms. Finished up in a special circular meeting room in the original part of the Chateau. Does not include any back of the hotel. The Chateau lobby is open to anyone, don't have to have a reservation. Could not have seen the special parlor or heard the stories.

Fabulous behind the scene tour of the luxury hotel. Tour guide in period clothing as Mrs. Frontenac was a wealth of information. The tour guide shared with us that Monday was the best day to tour the Frontenac. Worth every dime for the 60 minute guided tour. Tour guide was very personable. She wanted to know our names and where we were from. Great tour !

Our costumed guide, who represented a salesman who was a frequent hotel guest, shared the history of the hotel from outside and inside. He used humor effectively to keep the eight people in our group engaged. Inside, we went to the room where FDR and Winston Churchill planned D Day, saw the ballroom, the lobby, a bar, and a room that hasn't changed since the 1920s. Don't expect to see the laundry room, kitchens or other behind the scenes areas, or even a guest room. Note that if you make reservations by phone, although the customer service people are there 24 hours a day, the tour operator is available only during the day, so the service reps cannot confirm availability after hours.

The guide was more impressed with himself than the Chateau. He gave some history of the building but wasted a lot of time on such things as copper roofing on the building. Most importantly, while he spent some time describing the 1943 meeting between Churchill and Roosevelt, he allowed no time to view the photographs of the visit or to see the Rose Room where they met even though we went right by it. We had to find it on our own and see it courtesy of a hotel employee.
