Great tour! Our driver took us to the best spot and was very informative. He wouldn't give up until we found the best view.

C'est tres long. Cependant, l'accompagnatrice etait tres agreable.

The tour guide and transportation were very good but we had no luck seeing the lights and unfortunately were not able to go on another night to try again. Not only did we have conflicts in the schedule the weather as a whole wasn't cooperative during the week. The lights forecast was low and a full moon didn't help. It was a huge disappointment to our family but we recognize that it was outside our control. That said, our trip to Iceland in total was wonderful. What an absolutely beautiful country with spectacular scenery, warm hospitality and friendly people.

Not only was our tour guide Karl incredibly fun, but they were determined to make sure we saw the lights.
When the cloud cover threatened to spoil our night, they moved us to a different site and we saw them in all their glory.

10 buses all go to the same place every night. There is too much light due to the buildings where they go. Far too many people. Talking to other people who use other companies said that the moved around to try and find the lights and clearer skies.
Find some other company.

Terrible tour. Do not take it. We bought this tour in advance of our trip to Iceland. The day of the tour, we found out that the chance of seeing the Northern Lights was 0 out of 5. We called Grayline, but they insisted that the trip was still on. We were picked up from our hotel bus stop and taken by shuttle to the Grayline office. It was bitter cold that day but we were told to wait outside while Grayline decided which bus to put us on. This process took about 1/2 hour. It was very chaotic.

Finally we got on the bus and went to a site to wait for the Northern Lights. Not surprisingly, nothing happened. Perhaps Grayline should read the official Northern Lights forecast. After we got back on the road, the staff on the bus forgot we were there. They dropped off everyone else on the bus at hotels that were very far from our hotel. When they realized their mistake, they took us across town and dropped us off at a bus stop that was distant from our hotel. We walked back to the hotel in the bitter cold.

Grayline told us we could do another Northern Lights excursion for free. No thanks after that awful experience.

We have used Viator many times to book excursions and they have all been great. This experience was terrible.

This trip was amazing. Whilst we never saw much of the Northern Lights at the farm venue, on the way back to the ship the guide saw something was happening and stopped the coach. We all got out and there was the most amazing show of green and purple that covered most of the sky. The fact the guide, who had been very apologetic when we never saw much at the farm venue, stopped the coach on the way back to ship was so good of him.

I cannot recommend Gray-Line enough

We decided to do a guided tour for the northern lights even though we had a rental car for the entirety of the trip because we read that it can be dangerous, etc. if you go by yourself. On the tour, the accommodations were great and Anna, our tour guide, was fantastic. Unfortunately, we did not see the lights that night. They kept us out there for 5 hours in hopes of seeing the lights. You definitely get the most for your money. I would totally recommend, but not necessary if you have a car. We ended up seeing the lights on our own around 9pm when were driving home along the highway.

Although we had some Northern Lights activity at the designated site, the spectacle really began as the bus traveled back to Reykjavik. We could see nicely through the large windows of the bus. I was very pleased that the bus stopped-- twice!--on the way home to let us off and enjoy the sky show!
