Esse passeio foi muito bom e informativo. Nosso guia era extremamente bem informado.

This was an interesting tour but we felt that it should have included more information about the synagogues in Vienna. We deid see a lot of interesting sights and would recommend this tour.

Exceptional!! Our guide was very informed, had lots of information to show us and took the time to go into detail about the history, buildings and monuments. She was so good that we gave her a round of applause and tipped her without her even mentioning tips. Our 1 1/2 tour lasted 3 hours. Ten Stars!

I wrote in an email my thoughts of this trip.
Matthias knew little about Judaism and some things he said were incorrect.
A visit to the Synagogue should have been included.
The walk was a time waster .
Would not recommend it to any of my friends.

I would combine this tour with a tour of the synagogue as well. The synagogue tours are at 11:30 a.m and 2:00 pm and cost 5 Euros. You must also bring your passport to get in.
Brigitte, our walking tour guide, was energetic, passionate and very knowledgeable about Vienna's history. The tour is as promised with lots of visual aids. It was interesting to hear about the history of the Jews of Vienna from the Roman times to the present. It was touching to walk the streets where Jewish families lived and of how most of 200,000 Jews that were living in Vienna left due to the virulent antisemitism at the time but the 65,000 Viennese Jews that were left were sent to the concentration camps. There were 23 Synagogues in Vienna before the war, only one remains and that is only because it is near the oldest church in Vienna. The tour ends at the Holocaust Memorial that was built in 2001. When asked how the Jews of Vienna are faring today? Brigitte said They are fine, for now...
A very interesting tour... but visit the synagogue as well for another perspective.

Wonderful tour guide. Interesting and knowledgeable. She made the history real. Her e going was impeccable. The sites were also interesting. Slough we had to leave before the very end, it was a great glimpse into Viennese Jewish history thank you.

It was okay I was very disappointed that we did not go into any sites we visited. All she did was talk about each place.

, nov 2015

Tour consists largely of guide showing pictures from a notebook. Don't actually go inside anything or see very much. Have taken other Jewish city tours that were considerably better planned and more interesting. Bilingual tour German/English makes it very difficult to follow. Guide is kind of nasty when it comes to answering questions. Would not recommend.

, out 2015

My guide, Brigitte, was not sensitive to the English speaking members of the tour and spent most of her time speaking German and not translating. But more importantly she was intent on denying the extent of Austrian anti-semitism and made statements that were clearly inaccurate and misleading. She should not be assigned to this tour.

Barbara is so great!!! She's giving a lot of information, open for questions and talking. I've enjoyed this tour every minute.
