What a complete let down of a tour. I would give zero stars if possible. Our group of 5 wasted 250 booking this trip. We had pre-purchased tickets through Viator thinking that Zohery Tours was reputable. They were not. We arrived 15 min early asking the driver if this was the correct bus for us. He spoke broken English but confirmed, Yes, get on bus. The first step of the bus should have given told us to get off. It was flimsy and was ready to break. The driver asked a few passengers to move seats so our group could sit down. Everyone on the bus already was sweating. It was a hot day in DC, the A/C was running but was not cooling the bus. The bus stunk, and was not maintained.The tour was to depart at 7:30. At 7:35 the driver and his partner began checking tickets and selling tickets to a few guests that had not purchased them yet. We finally left at 7:50 and we were all sweating our butts off. When asked about the A/C the driver asked if we wanted to get on the other bus. We did not accept thinking that 2nd bus left later. Our first stop was the National Mall. On the way the driver in a heavy accent gave information about a few sites on the way. The driver could not pronounce Smithsonian. At the Mall we could get out and take photos for 10-15 min. At that point our group decided not to continue on the tour. We wasted 250. We spoke to the driver in private and asked for a refund. He said to call the number on the bus. We called the number and it went to voicemail, and message box was full. 30 minutes later I received a returned call and it was the 2nd driver who took tickets earlier. He refused to give us a refund but instead offered us to either ride in the 2nd bus or we could get a free tour the next day. At that point, our group had already decided to use Uber/Lyft to see the other popular sites at night. We unintentionally caught up to the tour at the MLK, Jr Memorial. We spoke again to the 2 drivers about their poor service. They then blamed me for my attitude problem for causing the whole ordeal. Sorry my attitude problem caused your bus to stink, or A/C not to work, or that we left 20 min late. Not sorry.
We did the tour of Washington DC during the day, and looked forward to seeing the same landmarks at night.
We expected to be able to get out and take photos, of the same sight we had seen during the day, but at night
Well....this was not the case the buss did not stop often, we missed many places that would have been great photos, because the buss did not stop./
Give this tour a big miss
Our tour guide was great, but the shuttle bus needed updating. The air conditioner was loud which made hearing our guide difficult, and also didn't put out enough air to sufficiently cool the bus. Also, two seats on the bus were broken. Other than the shuttle's problems, the tour was really nice and informative.
Enjoyed this tour very much. Our driver was so informative. Since we had been on the six hour tour with another company we thought we would hear about the same speak. How wrong we were! I was also VERY appreciative that the driver handled a problem near the end of the tour with such compassion.
