We went on the night tour on Monday October 29, 2018 in bus 1503. We had a great time on this tour, despite us getting lost and holding up the bus for a few minutes when we got there. The tour was so well done and our tour guide was fantastic. She was funny and super knowledgeable. The information she knew was impressive. She had the quotes on the monuments memorized and dates to a T!. We really enjoyed the trip!!! The only downside was the children other people brought where were so badly behaved, but not the fault of the tour at all!!
Well it's a hop on hop off and walk a mile to the monument and back in "meet back at the bus in 15 minutes but the bus will move by then so look for it" tour. Don't expect to be given good directions. Tour guide was reading off a script. No bathrooms on the bus as claimed. Meeting address is incorrect. Open top bus, last thing you want to hear is "watch your head" you will drive by most of the attractions enough for a blurry photo. I would recommend taking another tour, any other tour or better yet just walk around.
We drove down from Maryland for this tour, The reservation didn’t give us the best address to find the meeting point so we got lost. We contacted the tour company and they provided a better address. We boarded the bus with no problem. But the bus left without us at the 3rd stop. Fortunately there was another bus from the same tour company that we were able to catch a ride with.
They did not show up at our hotel after they had confirmed our reservation. We repeatedly called and they said a few minutes. Our hotel finally called and they said the bus had broken down. No communication!!!!
A big thank you to Marie who rebooked my grandson and me on a twilight tour when we couldn't find our bus in a terrible rainstorm. She was very kind, and our tour leader,Dion, was full of energy and information, and made for a great evening.
I took this tour with my 18 year old Granddaughter who had just graduated from high school. Her graduation present was a trip to Washington DC. This was definitely one of the high lights! Great tour guide and transportation. Thank you Viator!
WOW! Our tour -- and in particular our tour guide Henry -- was spectacular. It was a very cold and damp night but Henry's expert details, funny anecdotes and engaging personality made for a very warm trip around the city. I can not rave enough about how fantastic this experience was. I was a chaperone for a group of students who came to DC for a Spring Break trip. I don't know that they were all that thrilled with the idea of the tour, particularly after walking around in the snow all day but from the moment we got on the bus till the moment the tour ended they were hooked. The best part of all is that they are still quoting things they learned from Henry. It is one of the most memorable aspects of our entire trip. Don't miss out on the opportunity to take this tour!!!
